What students can do

Welcome to Riipen FuturePath

Riipen FuturePath gives your business direct access to the brightest emerging talent, bridging the gap between education and employment. By connecting with students, you get the opportunity to innovate, tap into fresh perspectives, and secure top-tier candidates before they enter the workforce.

Here’s what you need to know to get started with this cohort:

Key Program Details

Project Format & Timelines

  1. Each project involves 10 - 420 hours of student work per student. Project hours can be extended with individual learners if the project scope is increased.
  2. Recommended that projects take anywhere for 2-12 weeks
  3. No limit to the number of students per project.

Employers set the project dates at the time of matching.

  1. Must start by March 30th, 2026
  2. Must end by May 1st, 2026

NOTE: Projects may not last longer than 14 weeks from the time they begin.

Funding & Flexibility

To accept a student's application, employers are required to pay a deposit equal to 50% of the total amount owed, based on the number of hours the project is set to last, up to a maximum of $750.00 for your first two active learners.

If you are working with more learners on projects with a high number of hours, we require you to hold a larger amount in your wallet to cover expected invoices. With 3-5 concurrently active learners, you'll pay a deposit of 50% of the project cost on any application that you accept, up to a new maximum of $1500. With 6+ concurrently active learners, you'll pay a deposit of 50% of the project cost on any application that you accept, up to a new maximum of $2500.

Payment is co-funded: for each invoice 50% is covered by Riipen, and 50% (plus applicable taxes and fees) is contributed by the employer.

What students can deliver

Expected outcomes and deliverables

To ensure your project’s success, we ask for well-defined deliverables, including working documents and final project submissions – think source code, presentations, marketing materials, and more.

Students will submit their deliverables along with a reflection note, showcasing the tangible results of their work. If you’re under an NDA, we’re happy to accommodate by redacting sensitive details.

Once work is submitted, you'll be asked to review and approve the deliverables before processing invoices, ensuring everything aligns with your expectations.

To get started, simply submit a project outline that covers the key details: the main objective, scope, expectations, deliverables, required skills, available resources, your company overview, and how you plan to mentor the students.
